Australian Goods & Services Tax
Our current prices are listed with and without GST. This applies to goods supplied to Australian customers.
SUPPLY TIME
If any part of your order cannot be filled from the substantial inventory held by DA and its Australian supply partners, we will obtain it by air freight (at no extra cost to you) from the overseas publisher. This may take 15 working days. Titles can run out of stock and if this occurs, our team will follow up with the publisher to ensure prompt delivery. If a title is not yet published, we will advise you of its expected availability and keep your order active.
PRICES
Prices may change when publishers' prices or exchange rates vary at time of supply. We will charge your credit card at the time of supply, including $A 7.95 or $NZ 8.50 delivery per item. Orders for 2-5 additional books will be charged at $A5.00 or $NZ 5.50 per item. No delivery charge applies to sixth and following items on an order. To other countries, we charge Economy Air parcel rates. Orders on a corporate account are based on Parcel Post rates to your address. Australian GST is not charged for deliveries outside Australia.
SECURITY
If you prefer not to transmit your credit card or other details over the Internet, enter "TBA" (i.e. "to be advised") as your credit card number in the Checkout process then telephone Customer Service on 613 9210 7859 or fax +613 9210 7788 to advise your credit card details, name and address. Payment on Account
Corporate or institutional customers (not individuals) can open a 30-day account with DA Information Services. If you are authorised by your organisation to open an account, please apply on your organisation's letterhead, giving full details of the trading name, type of entity including its ABN or details of ownership. We reserve the right to decline the extension of credit. The usual account holder terms apply to online orders, i.e. prices change when publisher prices or exchange rates vary at the time of supply.
Buying for the Trade
A condition of buying books through DA's online bookshop is that they are not for resale through the retail trade. If you are a bookseller who is interested in buying books from us, please see our Services for Booksellers section, or contact Warren Broom.
MyDA
MyDA provides personalised New-Title Alerts, Order History, Booklists and your Profile. You will need to register. If you are a Registered TitleSearch Customer or Recommender, you are automatically registered and your SignIn and Password remain the same. If you receive our famous slips, the printed version of the New-Title Alert, the Customer ID appearing on your monthly mailer can be used to access the online MyDA New-Title Alert. The printed slips will continue to be available.
Checking the status of your order
Select MyDA Order Search to check the progress of any orders, even if not placed online. Check whether a new item has been shipped or delayed in publication. You can check a price or other details because each order line links to the TitleSearch database. To cancel an order, please contact our Customer Service staff.
Standing Orders
We supply all types of standing orders and our specialist staff are experienced in managing irregulars and continuations. We are happy to take responsibility for the orderly transfer of standing orders from another supplier and to supply back volumes. |
